Conference on food allergy held at QUB

Analysing and managing the risk of food allergy in the supply chain was the focus of a major conference at Riddle Hall, Queen’s University Belfast, supported by the University’s Institute for Global Food Security and Safefood. Michael Bell, Executive Director of NIFDA and a member of the Safefood Knowledge Network Expert Group, played a key role in the event.

The second in an annual series of conferences, it brought together stakeholders from across academia, Government and industry for a wide-ranging discussion on food allergens – including analysing food allergens and managing them in the supply chain, as well as looking into the broader policy framework, regulation and enforcing the food law on allergens.
